These are our answers to prayer that we are grateful for:
  • Pastor Filberto will be giving the weekly devotional for ASOSAP staff at the Shekinah Center
  • Glenda and Conzuelo returned to work beginning of June
  • The health posts are functioning well, with both Alicia and Miguel working
  • Due to reductions in operating costs due to COVID-19, and donations, God has provided the funds for the operating costs and salaries of the ministry until the end of 2020
  • A modified version of Building My Horizon will start in August (once/month, parents will arrive at the Shekinah gate to pick up educational handouts (Bible/English) that have been prepared by ASOSAP staff. Staff will also call the children/parents to see how the education is going, clarify any questions, and practice concepts)

These are our prayer requests that we ask you to join us in praying for:

Ongoing from the April and May Prayer Letters
  • For God’s protection for each of us and our families
  • For the sale of the old pick up
  • That God would provide everything we need in this time of crisis
  • Protection for all of our ministry partners and supporters
  • Protection for the lives of Bill and Linda
  • That Baby Frander could have his long-awaited surgery. He was born with an imperforate anus and had to have a colostomy. He has undergone many evaluations and was close to having this complicated surgery, before the pandemic. He is almost 3 years old now.
New Prayer Requests
  • For protection, strength, and provision for the pastors and chronic patients
  • Guidance for 2021 ministry planning
  • For the Food Bank Project and specifically that God would lead us to give the food packages to the families of His choosing
  • That the modified version of the Building My Horizon program would go smoothly; for patience and motivation for the parents and children as they start this education at home
  • That we would adapt well to the modified way of working within the ASOSAP new normal
Updates from our ASOSAP world and more things to pray about:

Cases have increased significantly in Guatemala since our update last month. We remain under strict lockdown, including a daily curfew from 5pm- 5am. Recent statistics: total cases = 14,540; deaths = 584; Recovered = 2897; cases in our department of Alta Verapaz = 116; San Cristobal = 13 (6 currently active, no deaths)

Our ministry
As part of the new normal at ASOSAP, the office has moved to the Shekinah Center and ASOSAP staff are working 15 days of each month. We are preparing for the first Food Bank Project delivery to Pokomchi familes, which will occur in July.

Pokomchi Staff, Bill and Linda, and the Boards of Directors – Please pray that we all continue to stay God-centered and God-powered.

We thank you for standing in the gap for the Pokomchi and this ministry.
You are vital to this ministry!
