September 2024 Newsletter – Coming Alongside Children & Families
BMH Mother:
“My daughter has a lot of joy being in this program and she is learning. I see her content to be here. She continues to learn more and more”.
We have been blessed to be able to continue educating and loving on the children of BMH.
And what about the children?
- We have seen the children’s confidence increase as they learn in a safe, friendly environment.
- They share this new learning and positivity with their families, friends, and school mates, thus impacting many others
- Most importantly, through learning about God and experiencing His presence and goodness, the children and their families are developing a firm foundation to carry them through all that they experience in this life.
The Bible classes
- This year is based on Proverbs 6:16-19, which says –
“There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.”
- Each lesson speaks to a different topic as seen in these Bible verses and includes Bible stories that go along with that topic.
- The children also memorize Bible verses
- Children are learning about God’s character, His desire to be in relationship with them, His love and forgiveness, how to trust and obey Him, and walk in relationship with Him.
BMH Mother says –
“This program has really helped my sons. I have had 3 sons attend. Two who are older now and 1 currently attending. They have learned from the Bible, memorized Bible verses, and have learned words in English. This has really been a great benefit to them.” – BMH Mother
The English classes
- They are learning how to have basic conversations with others
- They are building their vocabulary
- What they learn helps them in their English classes in the public school
- Gives them confidence
The Computer Sciences classes
- They become comfortable using a computer
- They learn to do their computer-based research independently, for the public school
- They no longer have to pay someone in a computer café to do the work for them, thus saving money and learning more
- This helps them excel in school and builds their confidence, equipping them for a better future
We thank you whole-heartedly for your partnership with the forty-two children in BMH and their families.
This BMH mother expresses her gratitude:
“I thank you what you are teaching my daughter. She has learned words in English, about Computer Sciences, and the Bible. I thank you for the support and opportunity for her to keep learning. She likes what she is learning. Where she studies there aren’t classes like the ones offered here. I bring her here so that she can learn more.”
Below is the video update for BMH. Please enjoy seeing all the smiling faces as they take part in this program!
