Serving with Love – Final Education Session

LEADERSHIP TRAINING

This February 25-28th, the 3 year conference for nurses and church leaders finished. It began in 2016, with the vision to: promote the importance of demonstrating the love of God when serving others. Also, to offer participants the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ.

BIBLICAL BASE

One of the Serving with Love bases is from this bible verse:

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40

VISIBLE GROWTH

This year 60 participants learned about: faith and science’s relationship, how to get along with difficult people, the bases of a good family, and the health topic of neuroscience.  Leadership in the style of Jesus and a leader’s relationship with God have been 2 other dynamic topics taught over the years.  As Serving with Love came to a close this year we can see the fruit of this education. We have seen a renewal in fellowship and harmony between brother and sisters in Christ, leaders, families, co-workers, and towards patients. We are very grateful to our partners who were essential to the Serving with Love conference. Pastor Cesar from the River of Living Water Church in Oklahoma has been a huge driving force behind the event as well as a speaker.  The church has been so generous with financial support. Pastor Antonio and Dentist Efrain from the Central American Rock of Salvation Church in Escuintla, Guatemala, and local Pastor Ludim have spoken 2 out of the 3 years. God has used the biblical and health teaching to touch many lives.

We are called to be different, to serve each other as Jesus served.  These leaders have taught and modeled this servant attitude. We can confidently say that participants are better equipped to be servant leaders!
